Which areas do you visit for animal house calls?
North Ipswich, East Ipswich, West Ipswich, Brassall, Pine Mountain, Karalee, Karana Downs, Mount Crosby, Fernvale, Rosewood, Coleyville, Purga, Redbank & Ripley are areas I frequently visit. Other surrounding areas by request. Regional group bookings can also be organised.
I don’t live near you - is there a way I can book a treatment for my horse/dog/cat?
If we can find time we might be able to come to you, house calls are charged by distance so bear this in mind. Have a few friends who are interested in animal holistic care? If we book several in your location we can split the travel fee between you to keep costs down. Alternatively, if your pet is a dog/cat and a calm traveller in the car, you can come to us at North Ipswich.
What do I wear for my own treatment?
Something you’re comfortable in! We suggest clothing that isn’t too tight or bulky and let’s you move freely. If you don’t like to wear clothes during treatment you can remove outer garments and use draped towels instead. Whichever you choose is fine.
Do I need to remove items of clothing during treatment?
No. Its unlikely you’ll need to remove any items of clothing, unless you’re wearing something quite bulky like a jumper or thick denim. We’ll have a blanket to cover you up if you are wearing clothing that is restricting movement.
Is their anything I should do to get ready for my treatment?
Yes, come in hydrated. Bring your drink bottle and get ready to feel better naturally.
What is the aftercare I need to follow?
Stay hydrated and avoid doing heavy workouts for a few days. Walking is great for the first couple of days after a Bowen bodywork session.
Why do I need to stay hydrated post-treatment?
It’s important to drink water to help flush toxins out of the body. Walking for 15 – 20 minutes will increase your circulation to carry the toxins to the kidneys where they will be flushed out of your body by all the water you are drinking! Using a foam roller is also helpful.
Where is your clinic location for people?
We are located at 54 Pine street North Ipswich QLD 4305.
It’s my first time coming, where do I park?
You’re welcome to pull up into the driveway. If there is no parking available or you don’t want to reverse out, many of our clients street park on Pine street, or on Eastwood Street (side street).
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately not. We have a lovely old Queenslander cottage, which means there are some stairs into the clinic (about 10 steps). We can offer clients home visits in this instance - please ask.
